Greek Design on the Island – Accessories

Around the Island

F/A/D in Naoussa

Out and about in Naoussa once more, this time looking for jewelry and accessories by greek designers. Following our enthusiasm we bump into F/A/D and BLUE DOT.

F/A/D stands for fashion, art and design, founded by lovely Xenia-Nefeli and Alexandros, a couple of young designers who decided to take things in their hands and promote their creations and those of the like minded designers. Xenia works mainly with marble creating stunning jewelry and other utility objects. Alexandros creates all sort of beautiful accessories for both women and men, using metal, resin and even concrete. Apart from their own creations in their shop you can find objects by designer based on the island, like the airy silk sarves with photographs of reflections on water in the port of Naoussa, as well as other designers from all over Greece. This little shop in the streets of Naoussa, just off the port is a showcase of contemporary greek design at its best.

February is the month of pruning the vines, so even though the landscape seems a little bit dry, there is a lot of activity going on at Moraitico winery.

Sea kayaking around Antiparos

The sea was calm, so paddling was easy and relaxing, while the proximity to the surface of the sea gave us a unique perspective of the wonderfully blue waters of the Aegean.

A Relaxing Day at Glyfa

After a couple of hours under the sun and a bit of swimming, we moved to the restaurant of the area, only meters away from the beach.

On such a clear day, the views are stunning!
